Story : Lee Jae Ha, the supposed 2nd Prince of South Korea marries the thirty-something army instructor, Kim Hang Ah who is also the daughter of an influential family from the north korea through an arranged marriage after both of them were being caught in a "special situation". The once carefree and frank, Lee Jae Ha began to walk his road of revenge as the king after his older brother was killed in a bombing attack during his engagement. And as both of Jae Ha and Hang Ah slowly falls in love with each other despite of clashing and fighting at first, they finds themselves once again at the mercy of the political factors which had brought them together at first but now wants them to be apart.

Actress Ha Ji Won released some pictures of herself taken on the set of a new drama series The King 2 Hearts.
On March 19, Ha uploaded some pictures on her me2day account with the comment, “I’m drill sergeant Kim Hang Ah of the eleventh sniper brigade in North Korea.”
Ha is playing the role of Kim Hang Ah, a legendary female drill sergeant of the North Korean special forces, on MBC TV’s new drama series The King 2 Hearts, which will start airing on March 21. The King 2 Hearts is a love story between a South Korean prince and a North Korean drill sergeant of special forces unit with a virtual setting that South Korea is a constitutional monarchy. This series is attracting wide attention as it’s directed by producer Lee Jae Gyu, who directed Beethoven Virus, and starring Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi.
It’s reported that Ha is creating a friendly atmosphere on the set by singing and dancing despite the long-hour of shooting.

Lee Seung Gi Talks about his Intimate Kiss Scene with Ha Ji Won in “The King 2hearts”

On March 11, MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment” caught up with the stars of MBC’s upcoming drama “The King 2hearts.” During the episode, Lee Seung Gi and his co-stars Ha Ji Won, Lee Yoon Ji, Jo Jung Wuk, and others shared various stories they encountered while filming the series.
Lee Seung Gi revealed that he and Ha Ji Won completed shooting their kiss scene. He explained, “It was more thrilling and intimate than a kiss.” As Lee Seung Gi was talking, “Section TV Entertainment” aired the clip of the intimate scene where Lee Seung Gi approaches a sleeping Ha Ji Won and gently kisses her on her neck. Lee Seung Gi humorously stated, “It [the kiss] was right where you put those anti-nausea patches.”
“The King 2hearts” takes place in a fictional contemporary South Korea, which is still ruled by monarchy. The story is about an arranged marriage between North Korean Special Forces female operative Kim Hang Ah and South Korea’s Crown Prince Lee Jae Ha. Initially, the two are blinded by their pride and prejudice against each other, but they manage to get past their differences and fall in love.
“The King 2hearts” will premiere on MBC on March 21 at 9:55PM KST.

Ha Ji Won Transforms into a North Korean Student for “The King 2hearts”

“The King 2hearts” revealed pictures of Ha Ji Won in a North Korean student uniform. Ha Ji Won will play the role of “Kim Hang Ah” an officer who trains North Korean Special Forces. For the episode of the show that will be broadcast on March 15 (Episode 2) she is wearing a North Korean university uniform.
Ha Ji Won will be showing two sides to her character. One is her charismatic side when wearing her officer uniform. The other is her elegant and graceful college student side.
During the filming that took place on March 5 the staff stated, “You really can’t tell her age.” During the breaks in between shooting scenes, Ha Ji Won would spend time chatting with staff. She helped to make the atmosphere of the filming set friendlier.

Recently, stills from the MBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “The King 2hearts” (formerly known as “King 2hearts” and “The King”), starring Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, have been unveiled.
The stills of Ha Ji Won with neat, straight hair and in a military uniform have been garnering much attention. Many netizens have been drawn to Ha Ji Won’s great figure even in a masculine military uniform. In order to prepare for her role as a North Korean Special Forces female operative, Ha Ji Won has been going through persistent physical training, losing 4 kilograms (about 8.8 pounds) and becoming very fit.
Producers of the drama commented, “For her role as Kim Hang Ah, a North Korean operative, Ha Ji Won has worked tirelessly to perfect the North Korean accent and military movements. Her charisma is making the drama even more perfect. Please look forward to her confident and serious military operative role.”
Ha Ji Won has gained much praise and popularity due to her reputation of being diligent, working hard and exerting herself in training to perfect the characters she is playing.
